Lowered LDL

A study published in the April issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (2005, 81:792) found that subjects with moderately high cholesterol experienced a 6% drop in total cholesterol after taking a 5g daily dose of ImmunoLin[r], an immunoglobulin protein isolate, over a period of three weeks. The results were positive, despite the fact that patients ingested the ingredient only 74% of the time. LDL cholesterol--the “bad” cholesterol most closely associated with heart disease--decreased by 7% while HDL, the “good” cholesterol, remained constant. Additionally, Proliant has over 50 studies showing ImmunoLin supports the immune response in animals. Proliant Health Ingredients, Lori Stevenson, 800-369-2672, www.proliantinc.com
