INTRODUCTION:
The sap or resin from the Boswellia serrata tree has been used for millennia in Ayurveda, the traditional medicinal system of India. In Sanskrit, its name Gajabhaksha, or the ‘Elephant Tree’ may refer to the name Ayurvedic physicians gave it when watching elephants, symbols of longevity and strength, eating sap from the tree bark. Also known as frankincense, Boswellia resin holds a sacred place in the history of many cultures.

Today, WOKVEL® Extract, a proprietary, natural-spectrum extract from Boswellia resin has been studied extensively using the tools of modern medicine, including placebo-controlled clinical trials and bioavailability studies in humans.
